How can we allow customers to comfortably raise a service request?

Provide proper information

Customers need an easy way to Raise a service request from the service portal, where they can choose and add all the details of Assets & Sites with the documents because no other portal provide the option to view needed information about the service requests, service enquiries and service reports.

the problem

Outdated Portal without navigation

Happy path for users are blocked while using previous outdated portal. It doesn’t allow users to easily navigate between the service pages that makes user journey a negative path. Users are unable to view open request tabs in a single screen.

Seeing the big picture

To start understanding the big picture and the problem, I examined the big players in the market as well as parallel markets; Service provider websites, websites using dashboard and more. I read the user reviews of the various products to get an understanding of what can be improved.

possible solution

I came up with the following solutions

Added a call to action button in the Homepage to raise a service request easily, allows easy navigation between the screens.

Recreated a side navigation bar so that users can easily navigate between the service enquiries, reports & service contract pages.

Created a Dashboard which contains all the details regarding open service requests, Asset details & site details at the top portion so that it will be easier for users to see the details.
